I Have ADHD. Here Are Some Memes.
1/8/20
My parents and I have known I’ve had ADD (now considered a subtype of ADHD) since I was a child, but I never understood that it meant I was neurodiverse until recent years - particularly last year, as I began following people like Pete Wharmby, Dani Donovan, Myk, and Pina (ADHD Alien).
For years growing up, I thought there were only two options, “normal” (not really, though) and “weird,” and I thought ADHD/ADD was a “quirky, but acceptable” kind of “normal” - internalizing ableism, and downplaying my own needs and differences - but I know now that’s just not true.
As I’ve learned more about others’ neurodiveristy, and neurodiversity in general, I’ve also learned more about myself.
It’s not quite as spiritual as being reborn entirely, but it’s like rediscovering yourself.
I’m running a poll on Twitter right now to see what/who neurodivergent people trust more when it comes to learning about neurodiversity:

I personally trust neurodivergent people’s lived experience more, especially when it comes to learning about neurotypes I don’t have, and perspectives I don’t share. So, without further ado…
Here are my Favorite Infographics and Memes about ADHD:
(Art by Pina - @ADHD_Alien on Twitter, ADHD-ALIEN.com - and Dani - @danidonovan on Twitter.) My favorite infographics and memes mostly cover productivity, because that’s what I’m trying to work on in my own life. I hope you enjoyed them!
